12 Dolphin School Coffee Table
- Aquatic Series -
A school of twelve dolphins is seen swimming together like some aquatic ballet in this charming table sculpture. One of the animals is seen passing through the glass surface, as if preparing to leap from the water. The table is composed entirely of detailed brass work, with a glass tabletop and mounted on a marble base.
A fast swimmer, the common dolphin travels in large schools in warm waters and is noted for leaping alongside boats for long distances. Its life span is about 50 years.
